Caves Millwork Cabinetry, plus a few others:
We have our own brand of custom cabinetry, Caves Millwork, and also offer a few very
select, factory built cabinet lines. Allison often sells just as many of the other 3
manufactured cabinet lines as she does my own brand. I am of course very bias towards
my Caves Millwork brand, after all it is built right here at our Clifton Springs, NY shop. It
starts as a load of select kiln dried lumber and is delivered as a gorgeous “furniture-like”
kitchen with hand stained and high quality sprayed finish. The attention to detail and wood
grain placement has yet to be matched in any other cabinets that I have looked at, and trust
me I’m always looking. That may sound a little forward, but I’ve got an eye for detail. We
use ¾” maple plywood for cabinet interiors, we constantly check proper moisture content
of all our hardwoods, door center panel grain is symmetrical, upper cabinets have matching
finished bottoms, raised panel door centers are stained and finished before assembly into
door frame, mouldings are made here on site and mitered and coped before shipping….
I honestly can write pages about our quality. I invite you to visit our showroom. Touch,
feel, and inspect the differences yourself. Not to mention the numerous testimonials and
pictures that follow through the remainder of the website. As for the other factory built
cabinet lines that we offer, I was very much involved with the decision of which brands to
take on. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses and that's of course what Allison
helps a customer work through. It is important to realize, however, that I have a stake in
every kitchen we do. My company's name and reputation goes along with every cabinet
line we sell.
